The tail surfaces are controlled through pairs of pull cables.  The cables are 0.016" dia nylon coated stranded steel wire. A loop is bent then secured with a peice of 1/16" ID aluminum tubing crimped with wire crimpers.

Note the ABS tubing wire guide into the fuselage.  This is just a short peice about 3/8" long.  There are a few more short internal guides to keep the cables where they belong.
